EVA Mobile App Reviews

Most apps now allow you to sign in once and then perform any function seamlessly. To the contrary, EVA AIRs app actually forces you to log back in if you multitask and use another app while logged in. Even in times where I have briefly lost connectivity, I had been forced to log back in. I expected more from one of the best airlines to Asia.

This app is generally useful. However there is a lot of room for improvements. 1. Stop fancy animation when Im multitasking back to this app. I dont care about fancy things, I care about speed, just get me right back to where I left off. 2. Membership sign in needs improvements. The screen runs away after I typed in password, I thought I logged in but in fact I didnt. I have to carefully put away the keyboard when u can tap on the sign in button. 3. UI needs improvements. Generally smoothness is not enough(when you click on buttons, page transition, etc) and the UI should be aligning apple iOS recommended UI standards carefully so that things are placed and behaving as an iOS user expected. The app homepage is fancy with little luggage icon moving around(and you can even see the tray moving also). Its neat in some sense but not useful nor conforming iOS UI. 4. Some boxes do not have scrolling bar. For example: my silver card renewal box, there are messages that exceeds the text area but theres no way I can scroll down. I love Eva air a lot and I always fly Eva whenever I can. Eva leads in airline safety and inflight services, but its information systems are one area that is lagging behind, this includes online website/booking system, this mobile app, as well as inflight entertainment. I think there are rooms for improvement in quality and ease of use of these. I hope to see Eva improves on these. In conclusion, this mobile app is a good start and I expect more from Eva in the future.

Love everything about the app except that you cant enter more than one member at a time. I would assume most people might have 1-4 members in their families with memberships so would be nice if you can keep more than one active at a time without having to log and and then log in again with a new number. other than that excellent! Love the start with the clicking airlines board!!

Lots of superfluous eye candy, but its very slow to start up. Then when I enter a flight number and departure date to search for a flight and get its status, the app returns flights for days I didnt request. Flight status is limited to whether its on time or not. No in-flight status, real time map, etc. Not really very useful or easy to use. I like the airline, but the app needs a lot of work.

This is good to manage itineraries, check member miles, but you still have to go to the website to purchase tickets.

App continues to crash when trying to check-in!!!! The app has some useful features such as flight schedule, flight status, etc. But overall not well designed. And oh, please remove the annoying startup animation that mutes my music on the iPhone!!!

Its a useful great app for me but crashes after the latest update. Please fix the bugs. Thank you

Pulls up my existing reservations well enough but crashes 100% of the time once I start the Check-in process. I can follow reservations on Tripit....I need the check-on feature to work or the app is useless to me!!!

Updated to new version. It opened into Chinese....... And how do you make English the default????? Slight oversight....................

Graphically looks great, but the default setting is Chinese. Would be nice to have a more obvious way to change the language. Many steps to change to english- took a little guessing. Heres how you do it: Slide the bottom menu until you select the 3 dots. then the 2nd from the bottom tab with the cogwheels, then the top tab and you will see English hope this helps others. Havent had a chance to use the app for travel yet but it looks nice.

Well iPhone version is better than the iPad version in my opinion. It is a lot better then the last version, but where is Passbook function? Cmon Eva!

Get a permanent message that the server is "temporarily" down. I dont think they wrote the server side for this app before releasing it.

After installing the latest app on the iPhone 4, a message always pops up and says, "The network is busy. Please try again later."

I had no problems running the previous version on my iPhone 5. But this newest update crashes or hangs or gives me the network is unstable error (even when Im using wifi). Please fix ASAP. This is unusable. Ive deleted it and reinstalled it twice already thinking that it was an update issue with my phone. Ive also restarted my phone multiple times as well with no luck.

Does not allow you to book flights or see ticket prices.

The new version does not permit to log me on.

The best air

Ive heard from others that EVA is a great airline. This was the first time I flew with them. I downloaded their app to check my flight status. Both my flights to and from Taipei were delayed by more than an hour yet this app happily reported the status as on time. Whats the point of having this app but not updating it? Id give it zero stars if I could. Until they commit to updating the flight status, you dont need to waste your device memory on this app.

When I tried the new functionality for booking a flight from within the app, I got an error that says that I either have an invalid email address or passport number. The other functionalities in the app worked just as well as before, but that also means the UI is still as confusing as before.
